TBI Opens new branches to expand coverage throughout Iraq
BAGHDAD (24 January 2006) - (TBI - Press & Communications Dept.): The Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) has opened new branches in Arbil, Basra and Suleimania. The branches are fully operational and are signing up new customers and taking deposits.
Hazim Atar, Assistant General Manager of the TBI, said, "We are pleased to announce the opening of these three new branches as part of TBI's strategy to bring new and innovative banking products and services to all parts of Iraq. These branches will allow us to serve Iraqi business and government departments in the north and south of the country and increase the volume of international trade in key areas."
The branch managers assigned to the new branches are:
Arbil- Mrs. Gheed Khalil, Branch Manager
Basra- Mr. Dawoud Sakran, Branch Manager
Suleimania- Mr. Dlawar Noory Mahmud, Branch Manager
All three are very experienced Iraqi bankers with good local knowledge and contacts.
